Celebrate Thanksgiving by giving back! Volunteer at the Latodami Nature Center and help pull the invasive Barberry bushes threatening the beloved Nature Access Trail’s beauty. This now banned-for-sale landscape plant has escaped from the surrounding suburban environment and invaded our forests. Once it roots, it takes over quickly and dominates the forest floor - pushing out our native plants that support the mammals, insects, birds, amphibians, and reptiles we love. What's worse - it's a favorite hiding place for ticks! We are fighting back - and we need YOU! Bring a pair of gloves and a water bottle.
