ELECTRONICS AND E-WASTE ΛBY TYPEBATTERIESAll types: Batteries Plus www.batteriesplus.com (McKnight Rd) Alkaline: Frick Environmental Center collection canister and Batteries Plus will take for a small fee Rechargeable Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion) and Small Sealed Lead (Pb): Recycle at: Staples, Target, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy - Cranberry and other locations. Alkaline/manganese and carbon-zinc: Non-hazardous, safe to trash. Mercuric-oxide, zinc-air, silver-oxide: TOXIC, do not trash. Take to jeweler, hardware store, or local hazardous materials center. Also can pay to recycle: www.biggreenbox.com Button batteries (lithium): Many shops that replace watch and hearing aid batteries will accept for recycling at no charge.
