URINEO Fun Run at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio
A bunch of us are heading up to Mill Creek Park to run and anyone is welcome to join us!
Course: A Figure Of 8 trail run, that starts at the Old Log Cabin on Lake Glacier, goes all the way to far end of Lake newport, then returns to the Log Cabin.
Roughly 11-12 miles, and there are many side tangents and attractions one can check out as well.
Old Lanternman’s Mill, waterfalls (hopefully frozen!), wetlands, stone arches and bridges, etc
Facilities: Carry what you need for the run, but there are restrooms and water throughout the park. (unsure of their open status, but we suspect some will be)
What’s it like?!?! some single track, double track, horse trails, and roads are all in play.
Time: You can start and finish and run whatever you like for as long as you want to!
We will have many runners present throughout the day, at all points on the course. we will try to make sure everyone, especially if you’re new to the park, has a trail guide showing you the way!
Food N Drink: At noon, and continuing throughout the day, Free food and drinks will be provided back at the Old Log Cabin, where you start and finish the run.
Parking: Right by the Log Cabin, or right above it at the Fellow Riverside Gardens.
Bathrooms: Inside the Fellow Riverside Gardens. Note, if you park there, there is a short trail behind the visitors’ Center that takes you to the Cabin below.
Also, the Visitors’ Center, and adjacent gardens, are free to the public and very worthwhile checking out as well!
Weather: Could be anything, so come prepared! Definitely want to bring a change of clothes, or two, for changing afterwards.
Post Run: Hangout with some newfound friends, visit the aforementioned Gardens and Center, take a tour of the Mill, etc etc.

Finally, remember…..it’s a fun run. No Entry Fee, no Trophy, No T-Shirt…..just fun!!!
