Steevo and Chelsie are getting the urban stair crew back together! This involves hiking up and down lengthy Pittsburgh stairs and paved streets/hills. There are opportunities for breaks in between (some stairs, then flat pavement for a while, etc) and we’ll be sure to stick together.

Route: We’ll follow last year’s route (or close to it) pictured below. Last year the group moved at about 3 mph and we hiked for 2.5 hours. Mileage was just under 7 miles and the elevation gain was 1,400 ft. This is a challenging hike.

When: Monday, September 16

Time: Meet at 5:45 pm- 5:50 pm so we can depart at 6:00 pm

Parking: Park and meet in the 3 River’s Heritage Trail lot on River Ave (near the entrance to Herr’s Island). There is only enough parking for about 15 cars. Alternate parking would be on Herr’s Island if the lot is full.

What to bring: water, electrolytes, snacks, headlamp (in case it gets dark towards the end)
