Given the continued cold temps in the early 2025 forecast, I'm planning a free, family-friendly pickup game of ice hockey at the pond in Schenley on Wednesday, Jan 15 starting around 5:00pm with a concurrent friendly pickup broomball game, or simply skating around.

Time: 5:00pm or anytime thereafter.
Parking: Given the bridge closures all around the pond, you'll likely find the best luck parking on Schenley Drive near Schenley Park Visitor Center and walking down to the pond from there (https://maps.app.goo.gl/AkJnWnkKLt1ky2226).
Gear: For either sport, pack a headlamp (there are lights, but just a bit weak for tracking a ball/puck at night), both light and dark jersey/jacket, and a shovel to help "zamboni" the ice.  For ice hockey: skates/stick (optional: pads, helmet).  For broomball: literally a broom (optional and highly encouraged: hip/knee/elbow pads).
Communication: DM me if you plan on coming so I can prepare with pucks/balls/goals accordingly and "reserve" from ice space.
